My Review:
Ooh I downloaded this from Tsunogae@livejournal.com and I love this album! Tsunogae describes them as anti folk/urban folk, and says "they play really powerful folk songs with strong acoustic guitar parts". That basically sums it up. =D They seem very strong and their music is catchy. I love their album cover, because it depicts their style.

Romantic Couch sounds alot like a few other groups I've posted. (Ex: Nuevo Discos, Casker, etc) Which is probably why I like them. Still, Who can beat Casker? Oh anyway, Romantic Couch is pretty awesome but I have yet to listen to the whole album. It's jazzy I've noticed so far! I got hooked to Star after I heard it. (Both versions are great!) Btw. I think all her songs are in English? Wow.

I downloaded Jones Shi's album probably back in 2005. (It's been a while!) Ever since I heard Bian Zhi (Deteriorate) I fell in love with his beautiful voice. He seriously sings like an angel! His voice is so soft, yet powerful. Oh geesh how I wish he'd come out with another album. T_T I have many favorites on this album, because Its that good. His more upbeat rock stuff is really awesome too! I really love his voice no matter what..Its just gorgeous. 曙光 (Sunrise) is recommended too~

I heard of Peppertones back in the day. (Same time I heard of Casker, Roller Coaster, and Clazziquai) They have a pretty interesting and cute style. I don't think I can compare them to any artists I've heard. Once again, I prefer the male over the female vocally. Even though he doesn't sing that much. heh. Her voice is nice and fits the music though. ^^

My Review:
I'm just gunna say this..If you haven't seen this movie, then you probably haven't seen one of the saddest movies ever. =/ I've seen quite a few sad Korean movies/dramas, but this one topped them all. I cried my eyes out days after watching it! However, the movie is just beautiful. Everything about it..It's honestly one of my favorite movies, IF NOT my favorite of all time. Everything was so fitting! Especially this OST. Without It, The movie wouldn't have been as wonderful. This OST features DBSK (동방신기) also.
Besides that though, You must download! The songs are absolutely gorgeous. Sad, but gorgeous. And If your a fan of tearjerkers, I recommend the movie even before you download the OST! You can find It on clubbox, or on Idols Unlimited. Man..there is only ONE song I don't like on the album! And that's because It's too loud. Anyway, here is a MV for the movie, featuring DBSK. DBSG - One

My Review:
Interesting album. It reminds me alot of Fortune Cookie, because of voice alterations and the style of music. This is another group I really like, because the whole album is pretty cool. It reminds me of disco? lmao. There are a few songs on here that remind me of Casker's work as well. (Which automatically makes the album love) If you're looking for a good sample, I really enjoy "Maybe (Paris Wet Mix)". It seems as though there is a male vocalist..as well?

13. On the bridge★
My Review:
Don't know what It is about this group, but I really really like them. The parts leading up to the chorus are usually pop/sweet/ballad, and then the chorus is a combination of rock and sweet vocals. This group reminds me of Blue Dawn quite a bit. I think I prefer this style over Blue Dawn's though. This group is still somewhat poppy, but has a serious side as well. ALSO! There are TWO vocalists?! A male and female. Usually Its the female, but the guy has SUCH a nice voice OMG. So because I prefer the male, track 13 is my favorite. XD (I haven't listened to the whole album yet. T_T)

My Review:
DAISHI DANCE, a big house DJ in Sapporo (Japan), release his debut album from Apt. label founded by STUDIO APARTMENT. DAISHI DANCE burst upon the dance music scene overnight as a house DJ/Producer based in Sapporo. The album brings together all hot house music with melodic piano sounds. -Straight No Chaser Review-
Not just house music, but It's also trancy and Lori Fine has a very soulful voice, adding a bit of R&B flavor to some tracks. Also, the lyrics are pretty damn inspiring and moving. The piano is just gorgeous. Daishi Dance - LIVE - August 4th 2007! << The melody is just insanely beautiful.

My Review:
Hehe. My ex-boyfriend loves W alot. xD This album compared to their first is very very different. I'm not sure how It could be so different? But the first sounds alot darker/demented to me. I could be wrong..Its been a while. But I prefer this one over it. The first album isn't bad though, Its just not happy and dancy like this one. Also, W is under the same label as Clazziquai, and features Horan/Alex in their videos. teehee. (Another reason I love them!) They kind of remind me of My Aunt Mary, but much dancier and less rock. (They are all under the same label, so yeah)

For those of you watching Coffee Prince you can hear a song by them in episode 15. Omg, Coffee Prince is seriously my favorite drama ever. Ok anyway! So this group mostly makes instrumental music, but Its very light and calming. I was watching the scene during Coffee Prince and loved the song! So glad I could find the album. ^^ There are a couple of tracks with vocals, which are relaxing as well. I recommend this album for those who enjoy mood setting music. I really recommend any music from Coffee Prince.

Back when I got into Casker, I also got into Jeppet. This is Jeppet's only album as far as I know. As you can see, Casker worked with Jeppet before! YAY. (Love Casker <33) Also, 김반장 is the lead singer of Asoto Union and Windy City, which makes me even happier. ^__^ Jeppet is pretty cool. Its pretty simple, but easy listening. Track 8 is probably my favorite off the album, and the video to Angel is adorable. ^^

My Review:
Asoto Union's first and only album. Asoto Union is "Windy City", since they changed their name. Asoto Union's style is very nice~ Reggae and funk. If you've never heard this style before, give it a try. I'm not a huge fan of reggae, but the lead singer has a very unique and sexy voice. (lmao I love his voice) I really really really love when this group collaborates with other female artists. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
Artist/Group: Humming Urban Stereo (허밍 어반 스테레오)
Album Title: Purple Drop
Year of Release: 2006

Humming Urban Stereo has quite a few good albums, but this one is my all time favorite. I love S.P.X, and Hawaiian couple. I use to put this album on repeat. It's really awesome. Their style is pretty cute and upbeat/happy, but still pretty laid back. Once you get into them, you'll be in love with their style. ^^ I know I only marked a few as favorites, but I really love every song on this album.

Thank you Z-degreez! This album is pretty interesting. They combine some hip hop/with electronica type music. There is a rapper in the group, and the vocals go back and forth between a female and male. I like her voice alot~ I could be wrong since I just got the album. Anyway, It definitely is a pretty interesting combination of music, so suggest giving the favorites a listen~ =D

Bluedawn is someone I've recently gotten into, and that makes me sad. Better late than never right? I found their album through someone on LJ, actually. Don't remember who? This is Bluedawn's most recent album, before they split. Dawn is going solo It seems. I originally had this album first, so I feel a bit closer to it. =) I really love this whole album. But If you're looking for a sample, I uploaded my most favorite so far. I also enjoy track 11. Its the same style on all 3 albums, however. Make sure to download TRACK 5 up there in the tracklisting because the album contains a track 5 that's corrupt. Sorry about that!

Ok this group has a really strange style. You can find some swing/big band type songs (Track 3) and lots of Spanish-esque songs. (Haha, I mean..the tracklisting..) I recently downloaded this album so I haven't had time for favorites, but I do like quite a few after just a few listens. If you enjoy music with a Spanish vibe, I suggest this album. I also want to add that there are other songs that sound jazzy, or much like ska.

This is the album I downloaded first and fell in love with polyABC. I was wondering where I could find more, but I found their first album and wasn't very impressed compared to this one. And then, later they released their newest and I was in awe. The lead female has a really cute voice, and the guy's voice is pretty unique. They both sound so wonderful together. In this album, I think you hear her mostly though. Fog is my all time favorite.

THIS IS A MUST DOWNLOAD! You will automatically be hooked. I found out about this band quite a while ago. (Maybe..2 years ago?) And I've loved everything I've heard by them. Their first album, however, I'm not a HUGE fan of but It's a little different than their newer stuff. Their second album is my second favorite, now. It use to be my favorite, but this album beat it! It was close.
polyABC is a really special group to me because I feel that they really know how to create beautiful, melodic music, even through chaos. There are two lead vocals and their voices sound so freakin' amazing together. They blend so well with the music. I want to say that their music is somehow "enchanting", atleast to me. Her bubblegum cute vocals, and his whiney stressed vocals,..somehow make for such a freakin' amazing pair. So amazing. *dies*

I think Casker is a more widely known Korean indie group. After Yoongjin was featured on Epik High's "Love Love Love" they may have gotten more popular, since this song was such a success. Casker was originally just "Casker" himself, but then Yoongjin around the time of the second album. The first album featured vocals from Lee So Eun. Personally, every Casker album has been perfect so far. The third album is just a tiny bit different from the other two, but not in a bad way. Anyway, This first album is definitely a must have for die hard Kindie fans. Its on my Lullaby~ sleeplist, which is basically my list of songs I play each night to calm me down for sleep. ^^

It sounds very much like the first album, but I have more favorites on this album, and this is the first album I downloaded by them. =) The only difference with this album is there seems to be a more vocal, than on the first album, which is mostly sounds. Its hard to choose. ><

I wouldn't say there is a huge difference, and I definitely wouldn't say the change is bad at all. It's actually pretty amazing. It still sounds like Casker, but with more spunk. I say its "City-esque" because the whole album reminds me of a big city. Not sure why, but I love it. I love this album! I can't choooooooose! Casker is too great.

Fortune Cookie is a really interesting group because their style is hard to explain, and they are pretty trippy. As you can tell by the album cover, the music is just as strange. (Not that strange is a bad thing!) This is their second album, and I think Its a little different from their first. I had their first, and lost it due to computer problems. When I hear their music, I kinda imagine something psychedelic, but that could be because I seen this video of one of their older songs. Enjoy it~

Instant Romantic Floor is a group I don't know too much about, but It sounds almost just like Humming Urban Stereo's stuff. (Maybe one of the members is FROM HUS?) Ji Eun is someone who YG kept secret for a while. She collaborated in songs with different artists, but her identity was only revealed recently. (Atleast..that's what I heard) It's not really her music that's so appealing, but mostly her soulful voice. I really enjoy her voice! Alot of people were awaiting an album by her, and Its a nice album. It's poppy and nice to listen to. She is part of YG Entertainment. Yeah, She's not indie..I just like her. =D

Slow Jam..oh boy~ I love them too much. Its music some may like to call "baby making music". Not all of it though! But the whole album is kind of..yeah. It's definitly smooth R&B/jazz with a hint of dance. I really recommend this to jazz/R&B lovers out there. Its so easy on the ears, and relaxing. I warn you..It can be a little explicit. 다가와 (Track 2) is naughty =) Also, She says "What the ****?!" in track 9. XDXD

This album was just released and is a sort of continuation of ISOLATION. (This is what I've read so correct me if I'm wrong!) Anyway, this album and ISOLATION are alike, but also a little different but definitely not in a bad way. This album is more focused on their usual electronica slash melancholic rock sound. Don't get me wrong..these two albums are pure gold and equally as beautiful! They're both pretty similar either way you look at it because it's just their sound. I guess it fluctuates a bit haha. I love them so those looking for new music should give these albums a try.

My Review:
Lately, SCLL has been one of my favorite bands and definitely will be as long as they're releasing music. I got into one of their albums a while back (few months ago) and loved 2-3 songs but didn't really like the full album. However, with this album, they've gone a slightly different route while still maintaining their overall melancholic atmosphere. Instead of light rock, it's a combination of classical music and jazz. Of course, the melancholic atmosphere is still there, which to me..that's SCLL's signature sound that I enjoy the most. If I can describe them a bit easier..I'd say they sound like a cross between polyABC, Casker, and Bluedawn. (polyABC's slower songs! not their upbeat stuff) I think it's impossible not to fall in love with the lead vocalist. Her voice is so airy and light, but full of passion.

Nice change of genre from the typical stuff I find and upload. Drip is a trip hop band from Manila. (Capital Of the Phillipines)
It's the classic trip hop set-up: three quiet guys in the background to tweak knobs and play instruments, with a hot female vocalist to enthrall the audience with her voice. But Drip goes beyond mere trip-hop band cliches: they are meta-glamorous, a little dark, and seductively experimental. “Capable of giving you simulated bliss,” wrote the Manila Times about the quartet. -From their Multiply
The album is in English and the lead has such a beautiful and soulful voice. You don't have to worry about Taglish or any of that, and her English is fluent sounding. Very wonderful trip hop album. (Thanks to Tomoe17 @ Z-degrees)

Had this on my comp for so long and haven't uploaded it. Honestly haven't listened to it as much as I'd like but I did give it a listen and it seems like a genuinely good album. You may recognize his name from the Soulmate Remix Project single. He worked with JoPD to bring us a really nice remix of "Don't Turn away". (OMFG YES) His voice is relaxed with a slight boyish quality. His music usually remains pretty ambient and calm because of his voice, even if it is upbeat. He reminds me a little bit of Oldfish, if you like Oldfish. (AND LMAO AT THE ALBUM COVER AND ALBUM NAME)

I'm not usually into Reggae music so it has to be somewhat special in order for me to get into. In this case, it's mostly her voice and the music production.
Thanks to for the album, and thanks to for the clarification~ =)

If you enjoyed the album by The Melody then you'll most likely enjoy this album since this is Taru's solo album. (Lead vocalist) As far as I know, they broke up, and she's going solo. Don't quote me on this but I believe that's what I read. Either way, I'm happy with any music she makes since I love her adorable voice. This album was produced by Sentimental Scenery which means it's going to sound awesome anyway. Sentimental Scenery was featured on the Pastel Anniversary album. Even though his albums are mostly lyric-less, he did a really great job on Taru's solo album. Typical pop, and very cute, this music reminds me of a cross between Humming Urban Stereo, and..The Melody..(Go figure)
The music is obviously going to be different since it was produced by Sentimental Scenery. I love this cute little album.

Then after watching Soulmate and DLing the OSTs, I noticed the song "Satisfy me" was on the album and I like it alot. That song is more poppy compared to some of the others which have some rap .

My Review:
His second album, and my recent favorite! It reminds me of the 70's and 80's. This album definitely sounds like something before my time, but it's catchy and pretty impressive. I really feel like he brought back that time period for this album, and he made me interested in it! I've never really been too interested in some of this kind of music. (But maybe it's because there isn't much floating around..)
Anyway. My favorite track is Vanilla Walk. It features Karen, and she has a really cute voice. At first, it was kinda strange, but they sound really great together and the song is addictive. If you enjoy funk or electronica, give this one a try. (Thanks to the person who runs this website! http://www.crazyeights.wordpress.com/ )

My Review:
Cyndi Seui's first album entitled "Micro Bitz Life". This is the second album I found of his, even though this is his very first album. The musical style between this album and his most recent are very different imo. This album is Mostly lyric-less and focuses on just sound effects and beats. Some songs are kinda piano-oriented and sound kinda cute, and others are just electronica based. I prefer his second album to this one, since the second one reminisces old times, back between the 70's and 80's.

11. New World (Remix by Blaise Plant ---> The Alphabet Project)
My Review:
First off, you have to know who Monkey Majik is.
"Monkey Majik is a rock band of Japan. The band consists of guitarists/vocalists Maynard and Blaise Plant, brothers who sing in Japanese and English; drummer Takuya "tax" Kikuchi (菊池拓哉, Kikuchi Takuya?); and bassist DICK. The Plant brothers originally hail from Canada." - Wikipedia
Well, This album is Maynard Plant's solo album. First off, let me say that it's not really like Monkey Majik's music, which is a combination of rock/pop. This album is more electronic, and dance. I honestly never pictured Maynard making this sort of music because he seems like his rock/pop style fits him..
But trust me! I'm not complaining! This album is friggin amazing. His voice actually compliments the music very well. The sound is original and It almost seems like this is the type of music he's been creating all this time. This guy is insanely talented. His brother also has a solo project going on. You can purchase the Mp3s from his website, which can be found HERE. (You can also sample the mp3s there. His music is similar but he sings in French too apparently)
Artist/Group: COLTEMONIKHA
Album Title: COLTEMONIKHA 2
Year of Release: 2007
Language: Japanese
Genre: Electronica / Pico pop
My Review:
Coltemonikha is my more recent obsession. The music style is very similar to Perfume. Music is incredibly catchy, fun, poppy, etc. I love it. Check out another video here..Click. (And no she isn't saying what the video says in English. She is singing in Japanese!)
Artist/Group: Perfume
Album Title: GAME
Year of Release: 2008
Language: Japanese
Genre: Electronica / Pico pop / Dance
My Review:
Perfume is one of those groups that have been out for a while but have only recently gotten popular. I've been into them for about a year or two now, and their music is electronic goodness! They have released alot of singles and a Complete Best album, but I believe this is considered their first OFFICIAL album. I love them so much. They are pretty much pico pop, but more mainstream than most pico pop. Cute girls, cute music, addictive tunes! Check out a PV if you'd like to hear more. (Do it!)
Artist/Group: Carrchy (卡奇社)
Album Title: 日光倾城
Year of Release: 2007
Language: Mandarin? I believe
Genre: Electronica / Traditional / Pop
My Review:
I absolutely LOVE Carrchy. I love them so much, I wish I could read Chinese =(. I stumbled upon this album through Tsunogae's rotation and was thinking "The Video is kinda bleh, but the song is very relaxing" so I downloaded the album. Turns out that the whole album is really refreshing and what I like to describe as "funky". This duo just has this funky confident vibe going on imo. I mean, aren't they just yum?
My favorite track is track #8 which has this really groovy reggae/jazz vibe. Download me. Try the video first =)

My Review:
I pretty much love every song on this album. Her voice is medicinal and creepy, and the music style is very suiting to her voice. She's part of I've Sound, with KOTOKO and I love them both. I've loved this album for years now and want to share it with everyone else! If you haven't heard her yet, give her a chance. Her voice is so comforting and the music is absolutely gorgeous. If you like I've Sound stuff, her solo stuff is similar but more ballad-ish. I love her to peices. You can see a youtube vid of one of her more latest singles, which was also an anime opening. (It's really freakin' awesome!) Sorry for the MU link. The file was too large to upload to Mediafire.

Ok. I looked so friggin hard for this album ;__; I don't think anyone can understand. Ugh. T_T But I did find it! (Months later!) It's their first album which was released a few months ago. Their style of music caught my eye, so I had to have..Its electronica/rock. hehe. When I first seen their videos, I fell in love with their style. Plus, I was looking to get into more Japanese music again ^___^

9. Falling In Love
10. Lunar Eclipse
My Review:
Honestly, I thought this album would have more singing and less instrumentals. He does sing but I guess I was expecting something different and more like the song from the Pastel 5th Anniversary. The album is good though. It's mostly piano, and sound effects. Some of it is mood-setting, and some is just upbeat. I listened to all his singles and this album and couldn't find a song like True Romance..at all. I'm so bummed. But yeah, he seems to be Japanese. I could be wrong. I'll post the single links too once I get them uploaded.

This is a nice Japanese group that sings mostly in English. (Accent isn't bad either) They have a lounge-feel about them, with a bit of rock in certain parts. The female vocals are soft and melodic, creating an ambient atmosphere.

This is a compilation featuring many indie artists. Many of these artists I've uploaded here on the Indie Post, and some I haven't. If you're into these groups/artists usually, then you'll love this compilation. (OMFG NEW CASKER TRACK *dead*) Much of the music on this compilation is centered around electronica (Pretty much all lol)
They also introduce a new artist "Sentimental Scenery". Wow, I really love Sentimental Scenery so far..I hope I can find an album by him/them. :D (Thank you z-degrees!)

My Review:
This seems like a duo that will become somewhat popular in the next few months/years. Idk they just seem like alot of other Jpop groups out there. (Not saying they aren't good! I love alot of Jpop) Their music reminds me of early 90's dance and then there is electronica and pop mixed in there. Luna is my favorite off this album. It's more relaxed and traditional sounding. Btw, Her voice reminds me of Ayumi Hamasaki..very often.

Will someone buy this album for me? Because It's so freakin' amazing and I'm poor right now. I looove the PV for "you may crawl". This is a group people should seriously watch out for. I have a feeling they're going to be huge! And If not, they should be. haha

This is one of my favorite groups at the moment. School Food Punishment has a really relaxing but upbeat sound. Yumi Uchimura (Vocals + Guitar) has a beautiful voice. It's very clear and unique, also compliments the music really well. The overall atmosphere of the music is refreshing, so I recommend a listen. Favorite song on this album is "close, down, back to".

My Review:
Whhaaa! I love De De mouse! But they are a pretty recent favorite of mine. I downloaded their album last week and have been obsessed with "baby's star jam". Even got a friend addicted. If you're not a fan of repetitive songs, you probably won't like this at all. It's pretty much just a chorus being repeated, but the transitions make the music worthwhile. It's really awesome, so I recommend it.

My Review:
I really love Epik High, so naturally I'd love it if any of them created solo albums. There have been alot of complaints about the album since its strictly instrumental. No rapping, but occasionally talking or sounds. Tablo and Pe2ny worked on this together and created some really beautiful beats. My favorites are track 2, and 3, but I love them all. The majority of the instrumentals are hiphop mixed with a bit of jazz.

YAY! Clazziquai! Next to Casker, Clazziquai is one of my first Korean indie groups. (Even though they aren't so much anymore) I remember when I first heard them a few years ago. I was like, OMG WOW must tell everyone I know. Even someone of my friends who don't listen to Korean music fell in love with them. Alex has such a breathtaking voice, and him and Horan are perfect for each other, vocally. DJ Clazzi knows his shit, I'll say that much. They are all 3 absolutely perfect for each other.

My Review:
This is my favorite Clazziquai album. Color your soul is my all time favorite! I pretty much love every track on this one, including the ones with the strange English, which is still pretty cute somehow. In the beginning, I was constantly listening to "Cry out loud", "Fill this night" and a few more of the more upbeat tunes, but my favorites on here are "Color your Soul", "춤", and "다시..". All Of clazziquai's stuff is really amazing, honest!

Tbph, this album isn't necessarily one of my favorites. It's not a bad album, I just prefer some of their older styles compared to their newer in this album. They still experiment with jazz, and dance, and etc, but something just isn't..the same. Or maybe I just grew out of them or something. It's still an amazing album and did really well I believe. I own this album too! The limited edition. XD

Newest remix album, released this month! YAY. It's pretty nice with Its robotic theme and all. I really enjoy a few of the remixes already. My favorite might have to be the Daishi Dance remix of Fiesta! It was originally upbeat and I disliked it, but they make it sound more slowed down and relaxing with the piano.

LOL I love every song on this album. I really can't choose. I was introduced to The Melody through Coffee Prince. (I'm sure alot of people were!) I heard Goodbye and kept thinking man! That song is so wonderful, and then got ahold of their album and love it. I really love her voice and the overall style of this album. It's so cute, sweet, and simple~ And her English is awesome. I love the violin too. I've been introduced to alot through CP~ hehe

There is something really nice about Fanny Fink. The style is your usual eletronica, but I love her voice and I love the atmosphere of the music. Like alot of music posted, Fanny Fink was on the Coffee Prince OST. Still, there is something pretty awesome about this album. She has soft vocals and the music is usually kind of cute somehow. (It's not ridiculously cute like some of Humming Urban Stereo's stuff, It's a bit different than that)
